Men engaged in shift work, including working at night or on a
rotating schedule, had an increased likelihood of having an elevated
prostate-specific antigen (PSA) value, according to new American
research.
Specifically, there was a statistically significant association
between current shift work and an elevated PSA of 4.0 ng/mL or greater.
The study is based on data from the National Health and Nutrition
Examination Survey (NHANES).
